About the plant

• Attractive decorative plant with deep burgundy hue and silvery green outlines on the top sides and pinkish purple underside; grows well in bright sunlight. Blooms all year long with small lilac flowers with sufficient light – minimum sunlight requirements 6 hours daily.
  
• Easy to grow and fast growing and requires moderate maintenance of pruning and removing withered leaves especially when placed under extreme hot sun.
• Suitable for pots, container gardening and hanging basket.
• Though they are drought tolerant, they need to be watered thoroughly during summer, allow soil to dry between watering.
• Take care when watering: too much watering can cause root rot and susceptible to aphids, spider mites, mealy bugs – treat pests as soon as they appear.
• Tradescantia plants are known to help rid of harmful toxins in the air.
