About the plant

• There are many different Tradescantia varieties such as Spathacea, Fulminensis, Zebrina and Albiflora; in different variegated foliage.
  Tradescantia Spathacea available in different colourful varieties such as Rhoeo ‘Razzamataz’, Rhoeo ‘Tricolor’, Rhoeo ‘Stripe-me-Pink’ (all three are the same, but called differently); Rhoeo Gold, Rhoeo Oyster, Rhoeo Dwarf Purple.
• Delightful decorative plant with pretty upper green and purple underside which grows well in bright indirect sunlight. Blooms all year long with small white flowers.
• Easy to grow and fast growing and requires moderate maintenance of pruning and removing withered leaves especially when placed under extreme hot sun.
• Suitable for pots, container gardening and popularly grown as border and hedging plant for adding foliage contrast to any garden.
• Take care when watering: too much watering can cause root rot and susceptible to aphids, spider mites, mealy bugs, slugs and snails especially during wet weather – treat pests as soon as they appear.
• Check for snails and slugs especially after rainy days. During other days, slugs and snails attack are noticeable when the leaves are sparse which indicates that the plant has been attacked by these pests.
• Mildly toxic, like majority of plants, practised safety first, wear gloves when propagating. Plant sap may cause irritation to skin and eyes or if ingested.
  
• Tradescantia plants are known to help rid of harmful toxins in the air.
