1. How do you pack the potted plants and cuttings?
Lightweight packaging materials such as foam, airbags or bubble wrap, sphagnum moss and in some cases, plastic containers for extra protection, will be used to ensure the plants survive during the journey.
Potted plants will be wrapped and packed securely with necessary instructions including general plant care and maintenance. The top soil will be covered with moistened materials and secured with tapes to prevent spillage mess.
For cuttings, these will be sent bare rooted (no soil or pot); and packaged with moistened materials whichever is appropriate to prevent wilting or damage during transit.
Additional shredded environmental friendly recyclable paper will be used to fill the void in the packaging box so as to minimise handling shock and ensure that the potted plant is not shaken too much during transit.
2. If I place order, will I get the plants as listed?
That depends on how the plants are listed. All plant listings contain photos; the photos are merely indicative of the plants displaying the size and foliage. They may also be used as a general example of the plant and pot size.
Plants are seasonal and as they grow, they may re-pot to a bigger size pot. The foliage and shape may vary as the photos are indicative of the plants as listed. Click to view our plants sold or if you are looking WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) Plants page! and more plants to be listed.
There specific plants which are listed e.g. PICKUP ONLY Good Luck Fengshui Crassula Ovata ‘Jade Plant’; the Sun Loving Bonsai Crassula Tetragona 'Miniature Pine Tree' or Stunningly Beautiful Heuchera ‘Coral Bells’ which are specially labelled individually – these are the plants you will receive but please take note their size and growing style/foliage may change slightly (attributable to weather and season). Occasionally, these plant photos are updated periodically.
Some plants are slow growing plants which may not need to re-pot. Plant information on plant size e.g. height, spread and pot size are also available on request. Photo(s) of the plant and/or cuttings you purchase will be emailed to you prior to packaging.
3. When is a good day to place order to ensure the plants arrive safely?
Any day is a good day to place order if you opt for Australia Post Express (remains AP's fastest service, but next-business-day guarantee is currently suspended, check details here - https://auspost.com.au/service-udpates/domestic-service-updates).
It is recommended that you opt for Express Post for certain delicate plants such as Coleus, Catnip, Swedish Ivy, Dainty Little Missy, Heuchera, edible plants e.g. chillies, herbs and mints, etc or if you live in outside NSW and ACT and/or if you purchase mid-week (no delivery in the weekend and public holiday long weekend) ~ other states usually take between 6 and 12 days. Please note these plants will not be delivered during extreme heatwave in summer.
However, should you opt for standard Parcel Post delivery, then it is recommended to place order on the weekend, beginning of week i.e. Monday, Tuesday or during public holidays so the plants can be packaged up and despatch on the next working day of the week thus avoiding the 2 days postal delay (Saturday and Sunday).

Every garden will have garden pests – snails and slugs, aphids, mealy bugs, spider mites, etc if you do a close inspection on your plants. If you happen to spot any of these pests, your first reaction is to treat them as soon as you can.
Let’s get back to the question if my plants have worms. So far, I have seen white grub worms that feed on root systems and the good earthworms that burrow and help improve the soil structure.
My gardening routine starts very early in the morning with garden inspection to check and treat unwanted garden pest during the day and catching slugs and snails late at night. Next task are propagating and repotting; young plants that are potted in small thermal pots so that they are easily re-potted to bigger pots, that way, I can ensure that the white grub worms are disposed off before the plants are potted in new bigger pots.
There are always heaps of earthworms under pots and leaves especially after several days of rain. It’s valuable find to place these earthworms in pots with plants needing extra help to boost plant growth. To learn about earthworm lifecycle, how they burrow, feed, breathe and mate, etc., you can find out more at https://australian.museum/learn/animals/worms/australian-earthworms/ and the different types of earthworms - https://www.trees.com/gardening-and-landscaping/ty...Two interest articles I found useful in identifying earthworms - https://www.imperial.ac.uk/media/imperial-college/research-centres-and-groups/opal/SOIL-4pp-chart.pdf ; and https://kclg.org.au/images/Worms/earthworm-resourc...
5. I am beginner, growing plants is my new hobby for my new garden. What sort of plants would you recommend?
It depends on your preference, some people likes container gardening or rockeries, or even hanging baskets with flowering plants, or even a nice display of colourful foliage on the front yard. Here’s a short list of easy to look after plants for beginners and busy people alike. There are many but I have shortlisted to only ones available in store for reference. They are pretty much easy to care for, with not much maintenance. Check out Beginner's plants
6. What plants do you recommend for my balcony which is too hot for plants?
It really depends on your preference and lifestyle e.g. foliage or flowering, do you travel often and seldom home to water the plants or too busy to do occasional pruning, do you have pets (taking into consideration some plants are toxic to pets), etc.
Here's a few of the sun-loving plants and some are drought tolerant which suits beginners and busy people and those who tend to forget to water the plants.
