About the plant

• Easy to look after, great for beginners and busy people.
• Hardy sturdy thick fleshy evergreen succulent tree-like plant, suitable for both indoors and outdoors.
  It has tubular trumpet shaped leaves that look like Ogre’s (Shrek’s) ears and its trunk becomes thick with age like a miniature tree. It can grow up to 50-80cm and if grown with right care and conditions, it can grow up over 1 metre tall.
• Prefers bright indirect light, can tolerate some degree of shade with dark glossy green appearance but less fleshy and vibrant.
• Tolerates extended drought and exposure to intense sun stresses the plant making the leaves changed colour from light green to orangey red. The tip of the leaves turn red in direct sun. May produce small white or pinkish, star–like flowers in late summer. Suitable for pots, rockeries and container gardening. Makes a good Bonsai plant.
• Can be toxic to pets if ingested.
