About the plant

• Member of the mint family, with soft fuzzy lime green leaves with a delightful, aromatic lemony mint fragrance.
• A useful functional plant for medicinal uses, aromatic qualities and limited culinary use - not commonly used in cooking, some people may use the plant in small amounts as a flavouring herb for teas or other culinary experiments, as its fragrance resembles that of certain culinary mints. However, this use is less common, and care should be taken as it’s primarily ornamental and medicinal.
  
• It is also a repellent for mosquitoes and other insects: The strong fragrance, particularly the menthol component, can help deter mosquitoes and other insects from the surrounding area. Placing it near windows or doorways can reduce insect intrusion naturally.
• Requires well-drained soil in pots, moderate moisture and likes partial and full sun. Under shade, it can become leggy and its leaves lose its fleshy thickness. Thus, occasional pruning is required for a robust look and optimum health of the plant.
