About the plant

• Pretty and plump green succulent with 3-4 petals and 4 sepals often planted around tree shrubs and makes a great groundcover under shade or full sun: the leaves are darker green with maroon-brown margin under direct sun and lighter green under semi-shade.
• Fast growing and low maintenance. Has shallow roots and can grow quite tall up to 20-25cm and their structural trunks make excellent bonsai.
• Produces a long stalk of little pretty pink buds and blooms into white (some produce yellow) starlike flowers in spring and winter. Little plantlets may be produced on the stalk which falls off and grow into individual plants and can be propagated by leaving them on top of soil.
• Suitable for pots and hanging basket, makes an excellent decorative base plant in container gardening.
• When they are on ground, they can be quite invasive. Most recommended to grow where there are soil erosion or areas prone to weeds.
