However, you’ll want to consult the manual (or revisit this listing) before using the device to avoid experiencing unexpected electric zaps caused by starting at a higher intensity instead of the recommended 1–2 levels.

At the lowest setting (intensity 1), the sensation feels like fine sand gently rubbing against your wrist. During the night of testing, I didn’t notice any zapping as I slept soundly. On another occasion, while still awake, I observed the device delivering light electric pulses in response to continuous snoring or nearby loud noises.
